what’s shaking in my noggin.

latika is beautiful, sice me & her.

for some reason i’ve been enlightened by the culture of Southwest Asia, which I see to be mainly the Middle East & India. i have no idea where this came about from, but i’m fascinated by their way of life, their thought processes, their issues, and more. i’m getting deeper into these american politics regarding countries like pakistan, afghanistan, and iran, i’m taking a keen interest in these matters for no reason, but i love it. recently, that song Mundian Tu Bachke has been running through my brain, nonstop like an ethopian marathon champ, grief. it’s constantly on replay, i sing the song (well i attempt, atleast) without noticing, it’s crazy. i have the yearning to re-view Slum Dog Millionaire, which I found to be epic, great, phenomenal, as did the rest of the world. am i the only one who gets these weird fascinations with different areas of the world, and just feels like diving into that culture?

well, i’m putting this monumental track up for grabs

    welcome to the club. =]
i feel you though. you should see a couple bollywood movies. yes, some are mad corny, but some are actually really good. they can be just as long as those naija movies, but they put a lot in perspective. check out one called “the namesake.” i developed mad respect for the indian dude from harold & kumar after watching that joint.

YES, I feel you in this one.
Are you taking Sando’s world religions class by the way/did you take it before?
He definitely opened up my mind to current issues/events involving the region.

i love cultural films mane, especially the naija films with “Osofia (sp?),” the funniest dude alive!
but yeah, i saw a pakistani movie last year…so funny! not sure if it would still be considered “bollywood,” but the plot was the definition of humor.

and nah, everyone asks if i’m taking that class. i definitely should have cause he goes over all these topics that i’m really interested in, *sigh.
