seems like hip-hop enthusiasts have been split down the middle, some for the rising trap muzik & trunk volume music, while others denounce this of even being music itself. some embrace the hypetivity of the music that can get them pumped for any occassion or extra mellow for those sky-high times, while others feel that their lack of depth in their lyrics are destroying the very nature of the hip-hop industry.
oh boy, oh boy. musicians like gucci mane, oj tha juiceman, gorilla zoe, young jeezy, and waka flocka are more well known trap muzik & trunk volume pioneers, bringing the trap and the bass to the hip-hop community. but i feel that their hype music is a sub-genre of rap & hip-hop, where the trillness of the bass and the enthusiastic thug mentality captures the audience. they all have and serve one purpose: to entertain those that aren’t always looking for music with deep meaning, something to bump their subwoofers to.
everyone knows that when gucci throws out a new track it quickly becomes a street thriller, rattling neighborhoods block by block. we all know that house parties and youth club parties thrive off of this trap muzik & trunk volume genre of music because it gets people groovin’ manee, you must admit! music evolves and as it does we can either choose to adjust & accept or remain adamant to our music vision, either way their music will be out there and able to be listened to. but there are some cases where rappers able to to combine true rap and trap muzik. take for example young jeezy, known for his eclectic and hardcore rap style that portray his trap activities with trunk volume that may be confused for hydrolichs, grief! ditto with T.I. (tip harris), utilizing his lyrical skill with his past and ultimate bass thumpers.
but we can’t expect this from the average trap muzik musician, that’s why most fail because their swagg simply isn’t tight enough for the music industry yet. but i’m gonna let the haters or hip-hop conservatives (lol) keep their mindset, as i groove to the likes of waka flocka flame!
trap muzik up for grabs-

That is why I listen to reggae music for lyrics and soca for parties and bass. lol
lol do you listen to anything other than reggae & island music lol
Yeah. I listen to Nas, soundtracks to video games (Final Fantasy VII. VIII, and X, etc.) and anything else that I don’t consider bullshit.

I think this is a great post. One thing that I find the most helpful is number five. Sometimes when I write, I just let the flow of the words and information come out so much that I loose the purpose. It’s only after editing when I realize what I’ve done. There’s defiantly a lot of great tips here I’m going to try to be more aware of.
I can’t subscribe to your RSS feed. Can you help?
Cool! But I completely different ideas myself. But I unreservedly support your right to believe what you like.
